APPROACH
HOW WE DIFFER
When the appropriate criteria are met, our caregivers can perform the following health maintenance activities (HMA)
- Administering oral medications that are normally self-administered, including administration through a permanently placed feeding tube with irrigation
- Topically applied medications; (prescription, or over the counter medicated ointment)
- Insulin or other injectable medications prescribed in the treatment of diabetes mellitus administered subcutaneously, nasally, or via an insulin pump. (Prefilled amounts only)
- Nebulizer treatments for prophylaxis and/or maintenance; (ex. Albuterol)
- Routine administration of a prescribed dose of oxygen
- CPAP and (BiPAP) therapy.
